Attendance sheets prove nothing was understood
A name and a signature against a list of headings is weak evidence. A short confirmation of the site-critical points is materially stronger.

A signature on an induction sheet proves attendance. It does not prove that anything was understood, and after an incident that distinction is the whole argument. This pack separates the three things an induction has to produce: the content that was delivered, the confirmation that it landed, and the verification that the competence someone claimed is real. It also handles the case most sites get wrong — the delivery driver, the client and the assessor who are on site for twenty minutes and get waved through.

People arrive saying they hold an EWP ticket, a confined space qualification, a first aid certificate. The competence verification sheet records what was actually sighted and when it expires.
Short-duration visitors carry the same risk of walking into an exclusion zone. The visitor briefing takes two minutes and is recorded.
This is site and company induction. Formal training and assessment against unit standards is a different thing and is not what an induction delivers.

Induction is how several distinct duties get discharged at the point a person arrives. Each is mapped to the part of the pack that carries it.

The competence verification form exists because sighting a ticket and recording its number and expiry is one of the cheapest controls available and one of the most frequently skipped — claimed qualifications that were never checked appear regularly in post-incident review.
